BroadAccess – Active Ethernet Access
Active Ethernet Access is rapidly emerging as an FTTP solution by service providers due to its attractive cost and high-speed delivery. The BroadAccess implementation of Active Ethernet fiber access is a comprehensive solution that includes various capacities and deployment scenarios. Adaptable to service providers’ bandwidth needs, BroadAccess offers solutions for both large and small service areas. BroadAccess-1000E supports a large capacity of hundreds of optical Ethernet ports for high-end residential or business customers and can be installed in a central site or in remote street cabinets and communication rooms. Solutions for smaller service areas are provided by BroadAccess-300E which is suited for installation in small cabinets or buildings. Both products incorporate integral 10GigE ring transmission for connection of several remote units over a resilient Ethernet ring.
